Currently, there are two types of integrated receiver to Handle Signal of ir led strip: level type and pulse type, commonly used type which are pulse type, pulse type’s rarely used. Level type: receive 38K signal continuous, user can output low level continuous, time can be unlimited. Its internal amplification and pulse shaping is coupled directly, so that it can receive and output continuous signal. Pulse type, can only receive intermittent 38K signal, if the receiving 38K signal continuous, will remain high after several hundred MS, unless the distance is very close (within twenty or thirty cm).

Its internal amplification and pulse shape is a capacitive coupling, so it can not be able to receive and output signal continuous. In General the remote control adopt pulse type, only in the special occasions, such as serial modulation output, because the serial port may be continuous output data 0, so adopt the level type.General remote controller will be output 37917HZ after12 frequency division  with 455K, referred to as 38K, 10 m receiving bandwidth is 38±2K, 3 m 35~42K.in the deserted space ,the direction will be more strong when distance in 10 meters above. In the interior, if the wall is white, there is no direction in the space of 15 meters. The receiving head must have the filter, and the white light is filtered out. It will affect the receiving environment under the following conditions, or even more severe:

1, in a glaring blaze that made photosensitive tube saturation. infrared components are also very strong in white light.
2, a strong infrared heat source.
3, a stroboscopic light source, such as fluorescent lamps.
4, strong electromagnetic interference, such as daylight lamp start, motor start, etc..
38K signal is best to use 1/3 duty cycle, this is the most commonly used, it is better to test the 1/10 duty cycle. Actual modulation time should be less than 50%. Best to have intermittent.
